Practicing yoga has healed my unhealthy obsession with weight, food, and body image. It's because of the results I've felt that I’m so passionate about sharing yoga with others!
After experiencing a life-altering event, I took up regular practice and became more interested in how yoga could ‘reset’ the nervous system and help heal anxiety, grief, and depression. After graduating as an RYT 200 in 2014, I went on to pursue certification Trauma-informed Yoga with YogaFit International. I also received certification in iRest informed Yoga Nidra Meditation. I believe in the guiding principle of “Ahimsa,” which means "not to injure" or "compassion toward others, the earth, and to the self."
I created a specialized program, “Yoga Heals Lives." I designed this program specifically for people overcoming grief, adversity, traumatic experiences, healing their relationship with their body, and releasing destructive patterns. During the series, I teach mind-body-energy techniques they can use ‘at the moment’ in their lives to manage stress, overwhelm, or feelings of anxiety and panic.
